Enjoy your cruise experience safely and responsibly
OceanDeck is committed to promoting responsible enjoyment of on-board entertainment and leisure activities. Whether you are visiting a table entertainment lounge, exploring the cocktail bar programme or enjoying any adult leisure activity at sea — we encourage all guests to do so mindfully and within their personal limits.
Decide in advance how much you are comfortable spending on entertainment for the voyage. Stick to it — treat it as a fixed leisure expense, just like your shore excursion budget.
Entertainment venues are designed to be immersive. Set a personal time limit and honour it. Take breaks to enjoy other aspects of your cruise — the ocean views, the live shows, the restaurants.
Alcohol at sea can dehydrate quickly. Alternate drinks with water, eat a proper meal before an evening out, and pace yourself responsibly throughout the night.
If travelling with friends, agree on a plan for the evening and check in with each other regularly. The social nature of a cruise is one of its greatest assets — use it.
Entertainment should always be enjoyable. If you are spending more than intended or chasing losses, stop immediately. The ship offers countless other ways to spend your evening — a walk on deck, a great cocktail, the starlit ocean.
If you are concerned about your relationship with entertainment activities, speak confidentially to the ship's Guest Services. All major cruise lines employ trained welfare staff available 24/7.
All adult entertainment venues aboard Australian cruise ships require guests to be a minimum of 18 years of age. Valid government-issued photo ID is required. This policy is enforced consistently throughout the voyage and is non-negotiable.
